Moss Agate is believed to be a great stone for protecting one's energy that can also help to encourage self expression, as well as reminding us to return back to that inner carefree childlike wonder we all have towards the world.

Moss Agate despite its name, is not actually an Agate, but rather a Chalcedony with dendritic inclusions of Manganese, Chrome, and Iron which gives it its mossy look. Moss Agate is formed from the weathering of strong volcanic rock. The earthy colors and patterns are simply due to different levels of oxidation of the crystal inclusions. Moss Agate can be found all over the world, although 75% of Moss Agate comes from India.
