Moss Agate is a variety of chalcedony that is distinguished by its green to bluish-green coloration and the inclusion of moss-like or dendritic inclusions within the stone. These inclusions often resemble plant-like patterns, which is how the stone got its name. The "moss" in Moss Agate is not actually organic material but rather mineral inclusions, such as iron or manganese, that form branching or fern-like patterns.
