PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Malachite is a secondary copper mineral and is formed through the weathering of copper ores. The name Malachite is derived from the Greek word "malache," which means "mallow," referring to the green color of leaves. In ancient Egypt, Malachite was commonly used as a pigment for green paint.
Please note that copper is a toxic mineral, so please take care when handling unpolished, raw Malachite, as the dust is not safe for inhalation.
