Black Obsidian is the result of molten lava rock cooling rapidly, becoming volcanic glass and has been around ever since the prehistoric times. Because of its ability to make strong sharp edges, it’s been used by Native Americans and Primitive people to make spear points, arrowheads, as well as some other cutting tools.
